Fur Cleaning (Fur SPA)
FUR SPA is a specialist process for cleaning and maintaining natural fur. It includes shaking, degreasing, rehydration, odour removal and restoration of the hair’s sheen and volume, without substances aggressive to health or the environment. Specialist pressing removes the clogged appearance and restores the fur’s fluffy texture. The process uses dedicated equipment, not a household iron or standard pressing station.

Our process in 6 steps
Assessment
We diagnose the fur type, the condition of the garment and any defects or problems.
Removal of buttons or decorative elements
Any button or decorative element must be removed before cleaning.
Dedicated transport
Because the FUR SPA process is not carried out in Romania, we organise dedicated transport once every 3–5 weeks. All garments are transported by our own means, hanging on hangers to prevent creasing.
Dedicated FUR SPA treatment
Cleaning and rehydration, specialist treatment and fragrance, adapted to the material.
Return transport and reassembly of accessories
When the garments return from cleaning, they are inspected, any small tears or open seams are restitched, and buttons or accessories are refitted.*
Delivery
We inspect the garment together and provide care and storage recommendations.
*Transparency: if repairs or the removal and refitting of numerous accessories are required before or after cleaning, we clearly explain the options and costs.
When is this service appropriate?
Frequent wear
Regular maintenance removes accumulations of skin oils, dust and odours.
Light-coloured fur
Very light shades may require more frequent care.
After the season

Limits are established before intervention
Cleaning cannot repair degraded leather and does not replace structural repair. If we notice tears, damaged lining or fragile areas, we discuss the options separately before intervention.
Questions about cleaning natural fur garments
Is it safe for mink, fox and chinchilla?+
The procedure is adapted to each material. For very delicate furs, we choose a less aggressive treatment. Very delicate chinchilla is cleaned manually using specialist powders.
How long does cleaning take?+
As a guide, 5–40 working days, depending on the date of the first available transport.
How often is cleaning recommended?+
As a general reference, the atelier recommends approximately once every 1–5 years, depending on fur type and colour, model, frequency of wear and contact with makeup or skincare products.
Can the lining be replaced at the same time?+
Yes. If required, the lining can be replaced in the same workflow and is priced separately.
Can I send the garment by courier?+
Yes. Contact the atelier before shipping for instructions and confirmation of the workflow.
