Indicative prices and timeframes

The final price depends on the scope of the intervention and the time needed for execution. After assessment you will receive a written quote.

For a faster turnaround, we recommend scheduling repairs between April–September.

Fur coat care

  • Professional Fur SPA cleaning every 1–4 years, depending on colour and degree of soiling (cream, foundation, etc.).
  • Storage on a wide hanger, NOT in a garment bag, in a ventilated space, away from sun and UV light sources.
  • Avoid perfumes and chemical solutions on the fur or leather.
  • Never wash with water/solvent, avoid soaking and forced drying near heat sources.
  • Protect against moths.

Quick diagnostic guide: what your coat needs

A good repair starts with a correct diagnosis. Natural fur changes over time, and tension areas can fail differently. Below are common signs and the recommended interventions.

  • Fine open seams at joins – solution: re-stitching on the correct line + reinforcement.
  • Localised tear – caused by snagging, excessive tension or weak material. Solution: internal re-stitching and reinforcement; sometimes compatible pelt insertion.
  • Worn or stained lining – solution: replacement.
  • Worn cuffs/collar/pockets/front facings – solution: reconfiguring edges and finish while maintaining the fur’s volume.
  • Flattened volume, messy look – solution: reconditioning and, when needed, Fur SPA cleaning.
  • Moth damage – depending on the extent, some coats can be repaired; Fur SPA cleaning is required at the end.

If you are not sure, send 2–3 clear photos and a short description by e-mail or WhatsApp, or come for a fitting in the showroom. The assessment is free.

Common causes and how to prevent them

Most defects appear in high-movement zones: shoulders (from wearing bags), sides, cuffs and edges, seat area, pockets, front facings. There, seams and fur are constantly under stress and, over time, can weaken or wear out. Storing in crowded wardrobes or on thin hangers deforms the coat and flattens the hair.

For prevention: store on a wide hanger, away from heat sources and direct sunlight/UV light; avoid perfumes/solvents on the fur. A periodic check-up in the atelier, together with professional Fur SPA cleaning, keeps the fur looking natural, fluffy and soft.

In case of an incident (tear/stain), stop wearing the coat and avoid improvisations: do not wash, do not iron, do not attempt DIY fixes. Contact us as soon as possible.

Repair, restyling or custom-made coat?

Repair focuses on restoring the original functionality and appearance, with minimally invasive interventions; small adjustments are possible (body/sleeve length, collar/hood, closure system, lining).

Restyling changes the silhouette and lines for a more contemporary look; ideal when the volume/proportions no longer flatter you or the coat looks outdated. The result: a piece that feels “new”.

Bespoke (made to order) – a completely new piece, made to measure, unique design, dedicated material selection; usually requires 1–3 fittings.

At the assessment we propose the best option: sometimes a repair + subtle adjustment offers the best value; other times, restyling is the perfect answer.

Short case studies

Mink coat with fox collar, 22 years old – tears and worn areas, damaged lining. We stitched the tears and reinforced tension lines, rebuilt worn edges and replaced the lining. We changed the fox collar. We cleaned the coat (Fur SPA). Result: like-new appearance, no hair shedding.

Fox coat with flattened volume – improper storage + cosmetic stains. Local reconditioning + Fur SPA; result: reactivated volume, sheen and fluffiness immediately restored. Recommendation: wide hanger.

Chinchilla with multiple tears – very delicate material, poor quality. Minimal intervention: internal stitching and reinforcement of re-stitched seams. Result: discreet, aesthetic, good thermal comfort.

What to do after the repair

Follow our specialists’ advice, store the coat correctly and protect it against moths (for example, periodic spraying with SANO K 400). For the warm season, professional cleaning and correct storage are essential: see fur cleaning (Fur SPA). If you’d like a more contemporary look, also check fur coat restyling.

In many cases, yes. If the exact shade is not available, we choose the best aesthetic option and ask for your approval before starting the work.

Yes, we offer a 12-month workmanship warranty. The warranty does not cover natural wear, mechanical/thermal shock, chemical stains or improper storage. We also offer warranty for the trimmings/accessories we use.

Yes. Contact us first; we assess the coat and send you a quote. We work only after written approval. Recommended packaging: clean, dry box, well sealed.

No, we work exclusively with premium natural furs (mink, fox, lynx, sable, chinchilla, etc.). Our sewing machines are not built for thick/synthetic materials.

It depends on the condition of the leather. If the material can withstand the process, local repairs make sense. Restyling is only possible if the leather can handle moistening and stretching on the board. We confirm this after inspection in the atelier.

Our goal is invisible intervention (we work from the inside). When material replacement is necessary, we match shade and hair direction. In rare cases, subtle traces may remain — we inform you beforehand. If we cannot reach our quality standard, we decline the job.

Yes, but the final quote is confirmed after in-atelier inspection, when we can check elasticity and the internal structure.
