Custom Fur Coats

Custom Fur Coat made from a standard model

Starting from an existing model from our showroom, we can create a custom coat that allows clients to choose a different color, length, or size from the original version. For this option, customizations are available in terms of material combinations, lining, or the closure system.

Bespoke Fur Coat

Creating a bespoke fur coat is a complex process that involves a significant amount of work and study, requiring 2-4 fittings to ensure a flawless final product. For each bespoke fur coat, an entirely new pattern is created, initially designed from fabric, and modified by our artisans until it fully aligns with the client’s wishes. With hard work, patience, and craftsmanship, we can bring the coat of your dreams to life, starting from a photograph or even a simple explanation. This coat can be customized down to the smallest detail, perfectly tailored to the proportions and measurements of each individual client.

Made-to-measure Fur Coat

A made-to-measure fur coat is crafted to fit the client’s exact body shape and proportions while adhering to an existing pattern. This option allows for a wide range of customizations, such as choosing the material, color, sleeve shape, collar, hood, lining, and closure system, all based on existing body forms available in the store. To achieve a perfect result, one or two fittings are required, and there may be an additional cost of up to 100 euros.

In the past, fur coats were entirely crafted by a single person, with possible assistance from a machinist who sewed the fur or a tailor who finished the coat by adding the lining. Furriers were skilled artisans who learned the craftmanship at a young age and perfected their techniques throughout their lives. Gradually, the process became segmented into an increasing number of stages that required less specialization and shorter training periods for the craftsmen. This led to mass-produced coats that were not made with the same level of care, where any defect occurring during production could carry over from one stage to the next without being corrected or fixed.

We have maintained the traditional furrier craftsmanship, where a coat is made by only one master craftsman, without segmentation, sewn by a single person, and finished and lined by a single specialist. This approach results in longer production times and requires a high level of skill from the craftsman, but it also ensures a significantly higher quality of the final product, even in the case of standard fur coats, which we manufacture with the same care as custom-made ones. For this reason, Casa de blanuri MG has become a symbol of quality in the Romanian fur market over time.
